The 355-hp EcoBoost engine definitely has the power of a V-8, but does it live up to its fuel economy claim? Ford says the all-wheel-drive MKS EcoBoost will get at least 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. To compare, the front-wheel-drive MKS with the 273-hp 3.7-liter V-6 gets the same mileage, and the all-wheel-drive MKS with the same engine gets only 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. Thus, we would have to say Ford made good on its claim.
For the $48,585 base price, customers get 19-inch wheels, steering-wheel paddle shifters, all-wheel drive, adaptive HID headlights and a rear-window power sunshade. Sometime after the initial launch, a MKS EcoBoost appearance package will be available. It will include seats with embroidered Lincoln emblems on the headrests, illuminated MKS sill plates, 20-inch chrome wheels, unique badging and a subtle body kit.
